System Manager​
Entry Requirements:
- First Degree / BDQF Level 6 / equivalent recognised qualification in IT field AND
- For K.2 Salary Scale
- 3+ years' experience in K.3 as System Manager or any suitable position OR
- 7+ years' experience in B.3 as Senior System Analyst or any suitable position
- For K.3 Salary Scale
- 4+ years' experience in B.3 as Senior System Analyst or any suitable position AND
- Two (2) original approved working papers
Roles and Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Director of E-Government National Centre (or representatives) and perform duties as directed by the Director of E-Governmnet National Centre (or representatives) on the following matters:
- Reporting to the Director of E-Government National Centre (or representatives i.e. the CIO of the Ministry) where assigned;
- Assisting the Chief Information Officer (CIO) in managing functions and services of E-Government National Centre and carry out other duties and responsibilities of the Centre;
- Monitor/ensure the performance and the quality of managed ICT functions and services are carried out efficiently, trustworthily, perfectly and in integrity following the good practices and standards;
- Manage the design, establishment, and implementation of innovative ICT programmes that align with and contribute to the mission and objectives of E-Government/ICT strategy;
- Tasks and duties referred to include matters such as the following:
- Assessing ICT requirements and other services thereto including ICT human resource requirements in the Ministry and Departments according to priority;
- Provide, manage and monitor the Ministry's ICT master plan in terms of ICT expenditure and ICT projects so that it runs smoothly and regularly;
- Managing the development of ICT including the development, expansion, maintenance of application systems and other information system including the management of ICT infrastructure;
- Ensure best practices are followed in the implementation of ICT requirements including towards service improvement by introducing change through Business Process Re-engineering (BPR) and integration with relevant Ministries/agencies;
- Pro-actively ensure ICT projects run smoothly by prioritising the resolution of critical issues
- Responsible for carrying out other tasks as directed by the Director of E-Government National Centre or their representative
